The problem

A stunting programme involves three people who need the same information and completely different screens: a parent tracking their own child, a health worker running a village weigh-in, and a field officer supervising several health workers. Building three apps was never an option.

What I built

One app that changes shape depending on who signs in:

  • Growth tracking for parents — height and weight plotted against standard child-development curves, so a problem is visible early rather than at the next check-up.
  • Snap a meal, see the nutrition. Take a photo of what the child ate and get a breakdown back, with a chat assistant for the follow-up questions.
  • Village sessions for health workers, recording a whole group’s measurements in one sitting.
  • Oversight for field officers, covering the health workers in their area.
  • Bahasa Indonesia first, with English available.

Designed for use in the field: modest phones, patchy signal, people in a hurry.

How it turned out

Live in production, in active development, and shipped steadily — nearly forty releases so far. I led the mobile build from the first screen.
